PASTOR’S REFLECTION FOR FEBRUARY 4, 2018
This weekend we have the Super Bowl. It is more exciting because our local team, the Patriots, are playing in the game this year. We hope that they are the victors but ultimately it doesn’t affect us as to who wins or loses. It is different in the game of life. We want to be the winners in receiving the gift of salvation. Jesus won this for us by His victory over the powers of sin and death by His cross and resurrection. If we lose, by rejecting Him and walking in disobedience and by not playing by His rules, we end up in hell, eternally separated from Him. Let us follow His game plan and put out our best effort in loving God and our neighbor so we can celebrate with all the angels and saints in the kingdom of heaven.
Next weekend, married couples will be invited to renew their wedding vows at all the weekend Masses.
As a reminder, we will have our monthly Healing Mass this Wednesday, February 7, starting at 7:00 p.m. with the rosary.
I will be available for confession this week on Wednesday, February 7, from 1:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
May Jesus continue to shepherd you in all of your needs.
God love you,
